     Janis married Sten Hugo Persson, son of Nils Persson and Ida Katrina Olsdotter, on 14 December 1932, at Newport, Pend Oreille, Washington.3

     Janis died on 17 November 1988, at age 81.4

     Janis and Sten appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Spokane, Spokane, Washington, enumerated 24 April 1940. Sten was working as a clerk for a railroad company Their children, Delores were listed as living with them. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $21.35 in the year 2022. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2022 would have cost $.17 cents in 1940.5
