     Mildred married Kenneth C. Oberg, son of Charles Gustave Oberg and Ethel Vivien Ipes, on 17 November 1935, at Wyandotte, Wayne, Michigan.2

     Mildred died on 10 September 1942, at Wyandotte, Wayne, Michigan, at age 29,1 and was buried at Ferndale Cemetery, Riverview, Wayne, Michigan.3

     Mildred and Kenneth appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Flint, Genesee, Michigan, enumerated 17 April 1940. Kenneth was working as a watchmaker Their son, Jan Charles was listed as living with them. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $16.26 in the year 2012. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2012 would have cost $.21 cents in 1940.4

Tyre-Marcy Wedding

A pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of George Lewis at 46 Butler street yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock, when Miss Mabel C. Marcy, a cousln of Mr. Lewis, waa united in marriage to Philip Scott Tyre of Philadelphia. The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. W. J. Day, pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Luzerne Borough, and was witnessed by only the immedlate families of the contracting parties. The groom was attended by his brother, Harry Tyre, also of Philadelphia, and the bride was given away by her uncle, Charles R. Marcy of Luzerne Borough. The bride, who is a graduate nurse of th City Hospital, was the recipient of a number of handsome gifts. The young couple will make their home in the future in Philadelphia, where the groom la engaged in business.1
