     Peggy married William Morgan Hammarstrom, son of Johan Gottfrid Hammarstrom and Anna Maria Grace, in 1938.2

     Peggy died on 4 December 2006, at Nipissing Manor Nursing Care Centre, Corbeil, Canada, at age 93.3

Obituary

With sorrow the family announces the death of Mrs Peggy Hammerstrom at the age of 93 years. Mrs Hammerstrom passed away at Nipissing Manor Nursing Care Centre in Corbeil on Monday, December 4, 2006.
Born at Breton Cove, Victoria County, Nova Scotia on May 7, 1913. Mrs Hammerstrom had been a longtime resident of Haileybury where she worked as an elementary school teacher. She spent a large portion of her career at Haileybury Public School.
She was predeceased by her loving husband William Hammerstrom in 1988. Mrs Hammerstrom is survived by her loving sons: Harold [and Marie] of Callander and Michael of North Bay. Loving grandmother of Will [Polly] Hammerstrom of Newcastle, Ontario, Inger [Kent] Scales of Charlottetown, PEI and Warren Hammerstrom of North Bay. Also survived by four great-grandchildren: Luke, Graham, Vincent and Kali.
The Hammerstrom Family will welcome friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2: to 4:pm and 7: to 9:pm. Funeral service will be held from the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 11:am. Reverend Kitty Miller officiating. Spring interment will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Nipissing Manor Auxiliary Fund will be gratefully acknowledged.
