SHARON L. HOLMBERG

55, of Jupiter, passed away Monday, August 21, 2000 at Jupiter Medical Center. Born In Mlneola, NY, she had been a resident of Jupiter for 5 years, coming from Roslyn, NY. She was a medical records clerk at Jupiter Medical Center for 3½ years. Survivors include her husband, Charles J. Holmberg of Jupiter; her son, Daniel J. Holmberg ol Jupiter; her daughter, Krlstlna Holmberg of Ventura, CA; her mother, Alta Van Dvke of Oyster Bay NY- a brother, Greg Van Dyke ol Oyster Bay, NY, and her grandson, Kyle J. Holmberg. She will be missed by everyone she touched with her love. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Friday, August 25, 2000 at St. Jude Catholic Church, Tequesta.      Stephen Douglas Van Dyke, son of John Van Dyke and Margaret Hazelwood, was born on 24 May 1860 at Cumberland, Illinois.1

     Stephen died on 24 June 1892, at Toledo, Cumberland, Illinois, at age 32,1 and was buried at Toledo Memorial Park, Toledo, Cumberland, Illinois.1

     A quasi biography/obituary of Stephen Douglas Van Dyke was posted on Find A Grave as follows:
Son of John and Margaret (Hazelwood) Vandyke. Few persons knew the Dough Van Dyke was ailing when the sad news was announced on the street Friday evening that he was dead . Only a few days before he was seen on the street in as apparently good health as ever... Death is no respecter of persons. When once in its awful grasp the strong and the weak are alike. In this instance it chose as its victim one of strong build and robust constitution; one who was ambitious and energetic and was just entering upon a life of usefulness, the foundation for which had ben laid and well planned.


Stephen D. Van Dyke was born on the old homestead, a short distance north of town on May 20, 1860 and died June 24, 1892 at 5 o'clock in the evening, his age being 32 years 28 days. He leaves aged parents , nine sisters and two brothers. The funeral service was held at 3:30 Saturday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. D.D. Judson, who read a portions of the 11th Chapter 11th John and took as a text for the appropriate of the text: "If a man dies shall he live again?"


The remains were followed to the cemetery by a large number of sympathizing friends.1
