     Neal's obituary read as follows:
Neal L. Johnson, 62, passed away June 5, 2007 at his home in Newburgh. Neal was born in Stonington on September 29, 1944, the son of Oscar and Harriet (Lemoine) Johnson. Neal grew up in Stonington where he graduated from Stonington High School, class of 1963. Upon his graduation he entered the United States Air Force. Neal was a police officer for the Hampden Police Department for 10 years and took great pride in being "Officer Friendly". After leaving the police force he was a sales representative for E.A. Buschmann Industrial Supply for 25 years until his retirement. He enjoyed his animals, wood working, gardening, camping, hiking, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. Neal is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Bonnie Johnson of Newburgh, two daughters, Melissa A. Beaton of Glenburn, and Cassandra "Sandi" L. Johnson of Brewer, three sisters, Barbara Boyce of Deer Isle, Betty Lawson of Stonington, and Brenda Witham and husband Lawrence "Larry" of Sebec, four grandchildren, Mikele, Cole, Abigail, and Megan, one aunt, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Barry and Anna Snow, and a special friend Steve Collins. Neal was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Harriet, by a nephew, James Neal Campbell and a grand nephew, Christopher Martin. Family and friends may visit 1-3 P.M. and 4-6 P.M., Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden. A graveside service will be held 1 P.M., Monday, June 11, 2007 at Greenwood Cemetery, Oceanville Road, Stonington, conducted by Chaplain Maria Guereca of Eastern Maine Medical Center. In keeping with Neal's love of animals memorial gifts may be made to the S.P.C.A. Trenton Maine, 141 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton, Maine 04605. Levi N. Brewer , son of Thomas and Mary (Hutton) Brewer, was born in Hurricane Precinct (now Union Twp) Cumberland County, Illinois January 28, 1850 and died March 4 1916.. He came to Prairie City (Toledo) in Sep. 1857, and this has been his residence ever since. He was married to Eliza A. VanDyke (daughter of John and Margaret (Hazelwood) VanDyke March 14, 1869. their children were Nellie (mrs. F.J. Heid) of Los Angeles; John of Jewett; Thomas Clinton died Jan. 14, 1893; Golden of San Francisco; Paul of Chicago; Peter of Decatur; Ruth of Decatur; Eliza A. died Feb. 10, 1902; Mollie, (now Mrs. George Sliger); Carrie (now Mrs. Smith Misner of Los Angeles); February 14, 1904 Levi married his 2nd wife Ellen, daughter of William and Caroline (McCann) Misner. All the children except Thomas survive. He has brothers James M. and Judge Walter and sisters Mollie Smith and Lucretia Brewer. He was admitted to the bar in 1876, and practiced law honestly and consciently for 40 years.1


     Levi Nelson Brewer died at age 66, on 4 March 1916, at Sumpter, Cumberland, Illinois.1,2 He was buried in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery at Toledo, Cumberland, Illinois.1
