     Susan Riel was born on 3 May 1858.1

     Susan married John Somerfield Carr in 1907.2

     Susan died on 7 February 1917, at Huntington, Suffolk, New York, at age 58,1 and was buried at Huntington Rural Cemetery, Huntington, Suffolk, New York.1

Census

     Susan and John appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Huntington, Suffolk, New York, enumerated 30 April 1910. John was a highway laborer. They had a boarder, age 24, in the home. His grandson, Clarence was listed as living with them.3

     Susan and John appeared on the 1915 New York Census of Huntington, Suffolk, New York, enumerated 1 June 1915. John was listed as retired..4

Obituary

8 February 1917
Mrs. SUSAN REIL CARR, 58 years old, wife of John S. Carr, died yesterday at her home on Park avenue, Huntington, L. I., from pneumonia, following an attack of the grippe. She was the daughter of James H. Reil and Elizabeth E. Smith and was born on May 3, 1858. The funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Charles E. Cragg, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, officiating. The interment will be in the Huntington Rural Cemetery.5
