Jan Roelof John Schenck, husband of Jacamintje Couwenhoven
     Jan (John) Schenck, son of Roelof Schenck and Ghesye Hendrickson, was born on 22 January 1720 at Pleasant Valley, Monmouth, New Jersey.2,3

     Jan married Jacamintje Couwenhoven on 26 November 1741.1 Jan (John) Schenck witnessed the death of Jan (John) Schenck on 27 June 17493 and was buried at Schenck-Couwenhoven Cemetery, Holmdel, Monmouth, New Jersey.3

One of Roelof's daughters, Jannetje (written "Jomca" m h*s will) married Peter Nevius, son of the original Nevius emigrant to America, and through this Peter and his wife Jannetje all who bear the Nevius surname in this country descend.2

     Kortenius Garretse Schenck, son of Garret R. Schenck and Neeltje Coerte Van Voorhees, was born in 1702 at Flatlands, Kings, New York.1

     Kortenius married Marika Van Couwenhoven, daughter of Peter Willemse Van Couwenhoven and Patience Daws, on 10 October 1725.1

     Kortenius died on 2 June 1771,1 and was buried at Old Brick Reformed Church Cemetery, Marlboro, Monmouth, New Jersey.2
