     Laura Madella Higgins, daughter of Joseph M. Higgins and Eunice (?), was born on 9 April 1858 at Indian Point, Bar Harbor, Hancock, Maine.2

     Laura, at age 18, daughter of Joseph M. Higgins and Eunice (?), married John Edwin Hadley at age 27, son of Amos Hadley and Esther Mayo, on 16 October 1876 at Eden, Hancock, Maine, by A. R. Plummer, Clergyman.3,4

     Laura died on 15 January 1917 at West Eden, Hancock, Maine, at age 58. Laura's cause of death was listed as apoplexy, (A sudden effusion of blood into an organ or tissue)5,6 and was buried at Hadley Cemetery, Bar Harbor, Hancock, Maine.6
