'John Lovejoy of Andover Massachutts, son of Rowland of England. John was the common of most Lovejoy families in America. There is evidence that he was born in London, probably in May or June. (Perhaps June 18, 1622). Although the compiler favors London as John's birthplace it may have been Andover or vincinty and so been attracted to Andover in America. Essex court records indicated John was in Andover before 1644, but how must previous is impossible to determine.2'
