HEDWIG VON TRAPP

STOWE (AP) - Funeral services were held Saturday here for Hedwig Von Trapp, 65, a member of the Trapp Family Singer. Miss Von Trapp died Sept 14 after a short illness in Zell am See Austria where she was visiting for the summer. She is survived by her step- mother Maria Von Trapp, three brothers and five sisters. Burial was in the family cemetery in Stowe.6

Stowe April 15— Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Johanna Von Trapp of the Trapp Family Singers of Stowe to Ernst Florian Winter of Tenafly, N.J., in Carmelite church Closter, N.J., Easter Monday, March 29. Mrs. Winter has withdrawn from the Trapp Family Singers but her withdrawal will not change concert plans made by the group a spokesman for the family said.3


     Johanna died on 25 November 1994, at Gersthof, Wien Stadt, Vienna, Austria, at age 75,1 and was buried at Friedhof Gersthof, Vienna, Wien Stadt, Vienna, Austria.1

STOWE- Miss Lynee Alice Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Peterson of Marshall, Minn., was married here Oct. 27 In a Roman Catholic cermony to Johannes Georg von Trapp, son of Mrs. Georg von Trapp and the late Mr. von Trapp. The bridegroom, who was born In the United States, is the youngest member of the singing von Trapp family, which fled from the Nazis in Austria just before World War II, and on whose adventures the Broadway and film productlons of "The Sound of Music" were based. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and holds a masters degree in forestry from Yale University. He is a lecturer on forestry at the University of Vermont in Burlington. His mother lives at the Trapp family lodge here. The bride, whose father is a physician, is a graduate of St. Olafs College and taught in the Brookline, Mass., school system.2
