STEPHEN J. VOORHIES DIES


Stephen J. Voorhies, 68 years old, of 2566 Ocean ave., a member of one of the oldest Holland-Dutch families in the Gravesend section, died Tuesday at his home of heart trouble. He was formerly a member of the lumber concern of Fisher & Voorhies and was born in Gravesend, the son of the late Jacobus Voorhies. He is survived by his widow, Sarah Eldert Suydam Voorhies, and three children. Services will be held at his late home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.3
