Jannetje 'Jane' Van Couwenhoven, wife of Garret Schenck
     Jannetje Van Couwenhoven, daughter of William Van Couwenhoven, was born on 6 October 1719.1

     Jannetje married Garret Schenck, son of Garret R. Schenck and Neeltje Coerte Van Voorhees, in November 1737.1

     Jannetje died on 14 February 1792, at Freehold, Monmouth, New Jersey, at age 72,1 and was buried at Schenck-Couwenhoven Cemetery, Holmdel, Monmouth, New Jersey.2

     Marika Van Couwenhoven, daughter of Peter Willemse Van Couwenhoven and Patience Daws, was born in 1700.1

     Marika married Kortenius Garretse Schenck, son of Garret R. Schenck and Neeltje Coerte Van Voorhees, on 10 October 1725.1

     Marika died on 17 May 1787.1

Neeltje Garetsen Van Couwenhoven1

     Neeltje married Roelof Martense Schenck in 1660, at Flatlands, Kings, New York.
He waited, apparently, to the unusual age of thirty before he married (in 1660) Neeltje Gerritse Van Cowenhoven, daughter of Gerrit Wolfertse Van Cowenhoven, whose father, Wolfert, was the common ancestor in America of all the Cowenhovens and Conovers. She was nineteen years of age, but lived only until about 1674. By her he had six children..1,2
