     Ida Myrtle Lancaster, daughter of Benjamin Clayton Lancaster and Mozanne Erixana “Anna” McFarlin, was born on 28 December 1876.

     Ida, at age 19, married Ewell Constantine McCartney at age 25 on 24 June 1896, at Ellis, Texas.1

     Ida died on 8 October 1968, at Dallas, Dallas, Texas. At age 91,4 and was buried at Waxahachie City Cemetery, Waxahachie, Ellis, Texas.4

Meta Lankenau, wife of Charles E. Denton
     Meta Lankenau was born in 1863 at Germany.1,3 She immigrated on 10 June 1887 to New York;

'Meta Lankenau, according to my Mom, was a cook in Germany and was brought here to help Charles E Denton raise his children after his first wife died. She was my grandmother's (Henrietta Johanna) mother. Her port of departure was Bremen, Germany and her ship's name was the Trave.4 '


     Meta married Charles E. Denton, son of Daniel Denton V and Mary Lousia Lack, on 15 January 1888, at Flatlands, Kings, New York.1,5,6

     Meta died on 23 December 1935, at Kings, New York,3,7,8 and was buried at Canarsie Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings, New York.9

     Meta and Charles appeared on the 1892 New York Census of Flatlands, Kings, New York, enumerated 16 February 1892. Charles was working as a oysterman. Their children, John Louis and Katherine, and Charles' children, Mary Louise, Margaret and Charles Edward were listed as living with them.10

     Meta and Charles appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, enumerated 2 June 1900. Charles was working as an 'oysterman' at this time. Their children, John Louis, Henrietta Johanna and William Henry, and Charles' son, Charles Edward were listed as living with them.11

     Meta and Charles appeared on the 1905 New York Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, at Avenue L, enumerated 1 June 1905. Charles was working as an oyster dealer. Their children, Charles Edward, John Louis, Henrietta Johanna, William Henry and Frank Martin were listed as living with them.12

     Meta and Charles appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, at Avenue L, enumerated 22 April 1910. Charles was working as an 'oyster dealer' at this time. Their children, John Louis, Henrietta Johanna, William Henry and Frank Martin were listed as living with them.13

     Meta appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, at Avenue L, enumerated 5 January 1920. Meta was listed as a widow. She owned her home. Her son, Frank was listed as living with her.14
