     Amy and Albert appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Worcester, Worcester, Massachusetts, at Brandon Road, enumerated 9 April 1940. Albert owned his home, valued at $3500.00. He was working as an electro-typer. They had Emma Lenander, mother-in-law, age 75, widow, also in the home Their children, Melvin Floyd, Albert Carl, Donald Harry and Beverly A. were listed as living with them. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $21.35 in the year 2022. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2022 would have cost $.17 cents in 1940.5
