Mary Scott Beekman, wife of Major Benjamin T. Biggs
     Mary Scott Beekman, daughter of Abraham Christopher Beekman and Elizabeth Houghton, was born on 29 January 1830.2,3

     Her married name was Biggs.1

     Mary married Major Benjamin Thomas Biggs on 18 May 1853, at Trenton, Mercer, New Jersey.4,1

     Mary died on 11 October 1914, at Middletown, New Castle, Delaware, at age 84,3 and was buried at Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, Cecil, Maryland.5

HERE AND THERE

Mrs. Mary A. Biggs, widow of Governor Benjamin T. Biggs, died at her home in Middletown last Monday, aged 85 years. She had been ill for about two years and was severely injured by a fall about six months ago. Two sons, former Attorney-General John Biggs of Wilmington, and Willard B. Biggs of Middletown, survive her. Her funeral was Thursday with interment in Bethel Cemetery, at Pivot Bridge.6

Matilda Beekman, wife of Dr. Lewis H. Mosher
     Matilda Beekman, daughter of Abraham Christopher Beekman and Elizabeth Houghton, was born on 2 December 1824.1

     As of 28 March 1848,her married name was Mosher.1

     Matilda married Dr. Lewis H. Mosher on 28 March 1848.1

     Matilda died on 30 March 1901, at age 76,1 and was buried at Beekman Cemetery, Montgomery, Somerset, New Jersey.2

     Wilhelmina married Charles E. Denton, son of Daniel Denton V and Mary Lousia Lack.1

     Her married name was Denton.1

     Wilhelmina died on 27 April 1887, at Canarsie, Kings, New York, at age 23,2 and was buried at Canarsie Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings, New York.4

     Wilhelmina and Charles appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Canarsie, Kings, New York, enumerated 4 June 1880. Charles was working as a fisherman. Their daughters, Mary Louise and Sophia A. were listed as living with them.5
