DENTON - RAYNOR

One of last night's wedding was that of Miss Anna Mabel Raynor, daughter of Mrs. K. Louise Raynor, and John L. Denton, son of Mrs. Charles Denton, at the home of the bride's mother, 1153 East Ninty-second street, Canarsie.
The Rev. Henry S. Hull, retired rector of the Grace Methodist Protestant Church, oficiated. Miss Elizabeth Raynor, a sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and the bridesmaid was Miss Etta Denton, a sister of the bridegroom. William Denton, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
The young couple left for a two weeks' trip, after which they will reside at their new home, 9307 Glenwood road, Canarsie.4


     John died on 28 December 1916, at Presbyterian Hospital, Manhattan, New York, at age 28,5,6 and was buried at Canarsie Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings, New York.5

John Louis Denton

John Louis Denton, 28 years old, of 324 Remsen avenue Canarsie, died on Thursday, from pneumonia. in the Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at his late home, the Rev. Jacob Meier, pastor of the Dutch Evangelical Church of Canarsie officiating, and the interment wtll be at the Canarsie Cemetery. Mr. Denton was born in Canarsie and had lived there all his lifetime. He was aa engraver on metals and member of the Canarsie Wheelmen. He is survived by his wife Mabel Rayor; a daughter Loralne; his, mother Mrs Charles Denton; three sister, Mrs. George Sitzabee of Canarsie Mrs. William Joyce of Manhattan, and Mrs Henry Lemken; and three brothers, Frank, Charles, and William.6
