     Hendrick Emmans, son of Hendrik Jacobs Heins and Antje Hendrick Eldert, was born in 1756.2

     Hendrick married Sarah Lucas Bergen, daughter of Lucas Bergen and Susanna Abraham Schenck, in December 1776.3

     Hendrick Emmans left a will in December 1817;
proved Feb. 28th, 1822, recorded lib. E, p. 49, of wills, office surrogate of Queen's county.3


     Hendrick died in December 1817,2 and was buried at New Lotts Burying Ground (defunct), Brooklyn, Kings, New York.1

     Lucas was baptized on 26 January 1783 at Dutch Reformed Church, Flatlands, Kings, New York.2

     Lucas married Martha Patty Eldert on 15 October 1817.3

     Lucas died in November 1850, at age 67.1

     Margaret married Nicholas Albert Van Dyke, son of Albert Nicholas Van Dyke and Jane Wyckoff, on 7 February 1829.1

     Her married name was Van Dyke.1

     Sarah Hendrick Emmans, daughter of Hendrick Emmans and Sarah Lucas Bergen, was born circa 1786 at Queens, New York.2

     Her married name was Eldert.3

     Sarah married Hendrick Eldert, son of Hendrick Johannes Eldert and Cornelia Cornelissen Hei, on 23 March 1805.3

     Sarah died in 1874.4

Census

     Sarah and Hendrick appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Flatbush, Kings, New York, enumerated 11 November 1850. Henry was a farmer. Their children, Cornelia, Sarah Hendrick, Martha and Gilliam Hendrick were listed as living with them.5

     Sarah Hendrick Emmans appeared on the 1855 New York Census of New Lotts, Kings, New York in the household of her son, Gilliam.6
