     Sarah and Edmund appeared on the 1925 New York Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, at Ocean Avenue, enumerated 1 June 1905. Edmund was working at a lumber mill. They had a servant in the home. Their children, Howard W. and Edna S. were listed as living with them.7

     Sarah and Edmund appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, at Ocean Avenue, enumerated 30 April 1910. Edmund was a Brooklyn postmaster. They had a servant in the home Their children, Howard W. and Edna S. were listed as living with them..8

     Sarah and Edmund appeared on the 1915 New York Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, at Ocean Avenue, enumerated 1 June 1915. Edmund was the commissioner of public works. Their children, Edna S. were listed as living with them.9

     Sarah and Edmund appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, enumerated 10 January 1920. Their children, Edna S. were listed as living with them.10

     Sarah and Edmund appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, at 2188 Quentin Road, enumerated 1930. Edmund was city employed, listed as a shipping company Their children, Edna S. were listed as living with them. Their grandchildren, Elizabeth A. and Ellen G. were listed as living in the household.11

     Sarah and Edmund appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, at Ocean Avenue, enumerated 1940. Edmund was working as a real estate broker. They had one boarder, Esther Carlson, age 23, working as a housekeeper for a private family Their children, Edna S. were listed as living with them. Their grandchildren, Elizabeth A. and Ellen G. were listed as living in the household As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $16.26 in the year 2012. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2012 would have cost $.21 cents in 1940.12

     Anna Maria Bäcklund and Nils Ludwig emigrated on 12 October 1900 from Göteborg, Ämtervik Värmland, Sverige, to Hull, England. A bit of information about the S. S. Ariosto, the S. S. Ariosto was built in 1890 by Earle's Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. for the Wilson Line, Hull, England. It weighed 2,376 gross tons and measured 300.4 feet long by 38 feet wide with a draft of 20 feet. From 1890 to 1910, it was used for passenger service between Gothenberg, Sweden, and Hull, England. In 1910, it was sold to Spain and renamed the "Louis Vives." During World War I, it was torpedoed off Sicily in 1916.4,5

     Anna Maria Bäcklund and her brother Nils Ludwig immigrated on 24 October 1900 to New York, New York. They were to meet Mr. Rawstrom.6,7

     Anna, married Carl Wilhelm Gottfrid Seadale, son of Karl Henrik Sjödahl and Botilda Olsson, circa 1909.8,9 As of circa 1909, her married name was Seadale.8,9

     Anna and Carl were living here, with Astrid Elizabeth Bäcklund, during this time circa 1920 .10
