     Irene, at age 20, married Truman A. Rogers at age 22 on 15 January 1947, at Oyster Bay, Nassau, New York.4

     Irene died on 19 July 2005, at Florida, at age 79.5

     Irene Lyons, niece, appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Bayville, Nassau, New York, in the household of Walter Carman Van Dyke, Her surname was listed as "Meade."8

ROGERS, IRENE ELLEN "RENE,"

78, of Palm Harbor, died Tuesday (July 19, 2005) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. She was born in Manhattan, N.Y., and came here in 1986 from Glen Cove, N.Y. She worked 30 years as a nurse's aide and most recently at Long Shadow Inn, Palm Harbor. She was Catholic. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Rogers, Palm Harbor, and Mary Jane Rogers, Glen Cove, N.Y; two sons, Truman, East Northport, N.Y., and Michael, Norwich, Conn; and three grandchildren. Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home, Tarpon Avenue Chapel, Tarpon Springs.5
