     Jannett died on 15 March 1885,4 and was buried at Knowlton Mills Cemetery, Sangerville, Piscataquis, Maine.4

     Marcia B. Waterman was born on 12 November 1860.2

     Marcia, at age 23, married John Currier Cross at age 36, son of Jeremiah Cross and Sarah Ann Currier, on 11 May 1884 at Piscataquis, Maine, by George G. Winslow, Minister of the Gospel.3,4

     Marcia died at age 71, on 27 March 1932,2 and was buried at Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover Foxcroft, Piscataquis, Maine.2

MRS MARCIA W CROSS

- DOVER-FOXCROFT March 28— Dover-Foxcroft lost a life-long resident just as Easter Day came in, in the death of Mrs. Marcia Bryant Waterman Cross, at the age of 71 years. Mrs. Cross, who was the widow of John C. Cross had been In poor health for the last winter and died at the home of her brother’s widow, Mrs. Eliza Waterman where she had been making her home since the death of her husband some years ago. Mrs. Cross had been prominent in town in her earlier years. Born the daughter of William and Lavlnia Waterman, she was educated in the local schools and In later life identified herself with the church and with fraternal organizations. She was active in the Universalist church and the Woman's Alliance and exemplified a fine ideal of Christian life in the community. She was made an honorary member of the Alliance sometime ago. When the Miriam chapter of the Masonic order was formed, Mrs. Cross became a charter member and was honored by election as its first matron. She also became a leader In the Odd Ladies and is a Past Noble Grand of Winona lodge. To both these fratemal groups she gave many years of faithful and interested service. In the Red Cross her time and energy was consumed liberally as chairman for the sewing division as well as in other useful ways. The Athena club also elicited her interest and she became its president, doing her part generously whether in literary or social lines. There survives one sister, Mrs. B P Sawyer, formerly of Dover-Foxcroft and now of Portland; one daughter and Mrs. Lavlnla Hutchings of New Haven, Conn., besides the sister-in-law with whom she lived.5

     Bertha died at age 67, on 15 June 1947,2 and was buried at Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, Merrimack, New Hampshire.2
