     Carrie and an unknown person filed a marriage intention on 17 December 1907.1 She and Charles Leslie Burrill obtained a marriage license on 23 December 1907; Unknown GEDCOM info: 23 DEC 1907.1

     Carrie, at age 31, daughter of Lemore H. Johnston and Catharine Tracy, married Charles Leslie Burrill at age 21, son of Clarence Burrill and Lulu A. Young, on 26 December 1907 at Bangor, Penobscot, Maine, Performed by C. H. Cutter, Minister of the Gospel, Bangor, Maine.4,5

Their children, Alice Lula, Clarence Johnson and Georgia Ethel and Carrie's mother, Catharine were listed as living with them.6

     Carrie appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Bangor, Penobscot, Maine, enumerated 11 April 1930. Carrie owned her home, valued at $4200.00. She was working as a teacher at grade school Their children, Clarence Johnson and Georgia Ethel were listed as living with them.7

     Carrie appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Bangor, Penobscot, Maine, at 205 Pine Street, enumerated April 1940. Carrie owned her home, valued at $1500.00. The highest grade schooling was listed as four years of high school. She was listed as a widow, previously living in California as of 01 April 1935. She was listed as a teacher at a public school. Her daughter, Alice Lula, daughter's husband, Buford and grandson, Roger were listed as living with her. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $16.26 in the year 2012. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2012 would have cost $.21 cents in 1940.8
