The following marriages are transcribed from the early book entitled, 'Records Kept by the Town of Sebec, Second Book', and contains births, marriages, deaths and crop marks. You can find the births or deaths from this book if you return to home and then the births page..or the deaths page. The entries are transcribed as recorded in the original book and NOT in alphabetical order. Please note that some entries appear to be duplicated or confirmed. Use your 'find in top window' button to find a name that you are looking for. Check various spellings as names were often spelled differently, depending on who was recording the information. The page number after each entry is the page number in the original book where the marriage record was found. Names or dates with question marks (?) denote that it was hard to decipher but we made our best attempt. These early records are sometimes hard to read. Please advise us if you find a mispelled relative! Intentions of marriage between Mr. Sharron Cross and Miss Emily Harriman both of this town entered Nov 24, 1852 (page 143.)2

Silas H. Cross The following records appear in the same order as the original town book. The book is alphabetized but family names within each letter are not. ie: 'Glidden' may come before 'Getchell'. Some parents have their birth dates recorded, some do not. The forward to this town book does not state that these are actual births in Sebec, but a record of those persons living in Sebec in 1860. Thomas Wyman, town clerk of Sebec, compiled these records at that time.3
