Rachel Miller Van Dyke, wife of Roy W. Pearse
     Rachel Miller Van Dyke, daughter of Jacob Van Dyke and Rachel Rebecca Shepherd, was born on 26 September 1884 at Missouri.1,2

     Rachel married Roy Walter Pearse in 1909.1

     Rachel died in October 1974, at age 90,1 and was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri.3

     Rachel appeared on the 1900 Federal Census in Marshall Township, Saline, Missouri in the household of her parents, Jacob and Rachel.4

     Rachel and Roy appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Marshall Township, Saline, Missouri, enumerated 1 March 1920. Roy was renting a home and working as a farmer. Their children, Roy Walter, Jacob Vandyke and John Early were listed as living with them.5

     Rachel and Roy appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri, enumerated 1930. Roy was working as an automobile salesman. He owned his home,(valued at $7500.00) and had a radio set. Their children, Roy Walter, Jacob Vandyke, John Early and Richard McLeod were listed as living with them.6
