     Daniel Webster Bennett was born in May 1865 at East Norwich, New York.2

     Daniel married Sarah Van Dyke, daughter of Albert P. Van Dyke and Charity Denice, on 18 November 1891.3,4

     Daniel and Sarah appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Brooklyn, Kings, New York, at Mill Lane, enumerated 11 June 1900 He was working as a teamster. Their son, Wilbur Remsen was listed as living with them.1

     Daniel and Sarah appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Brooksville, Nassau, New York, enumerated 20 April 1910. Daniel was working as a truckman. Their children, Wilbur Remsen and Arthur were listed as living with them.5

     Daniel and Sarah appeared on the 1915 New York Census of Oyster Bay, Nassau, New York, at Brookville Road, enumerated 1 June 1915. Stephen Van Dyke and family were next door. Their children, Wilbur Remsen and Arthur were listed as living with them.6

     Daniel and Sarah appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Brookville, Nassau, New York, at Brookville Piping Rock Rrod, enumerated 17 January 1920. Daniel was a laborer on a farm. Their son, Arthur was listed as living with them.7

     Daniel and Sarah appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Oyster Bay Cove, Nassau, New York, at Oyster Bay Road, enumerated 2 April 1940. Daniel was renting, paying $15.00 per month. On 01 April 1935, they were living in East Norwich, New York.. As an item of interest, a dollar in 1940 would equal $21.35 in the year 2022. A $3.50 gallon of milk in 2022 would have cost $.17 cents in 1940.8
