     Geesie De Hart, daughter of Simon Van Dyke De Hart and Catharine Schenck, was born on 4 February 1744.1

     Geesie married Simon Bergen, son of Johannes Bergen.1

Seymon (Simon) De Hart1,2

M, d. 1745
     Seymon married Angennetj (Angenietje) Van Dyke, daughter of Captain Jan Janse Van Dyke and Teuntje Thyssen Lanen Van Pelt.1 Seymon (Simon) De Hart left a will on 13 July 1744. At Brooklyn, Kings, New York, He had occupied and owned his father's farm. In his will, dated July 13, 1744, proved Nov. 27, 1745, recorded page 478 of Lib. 15 of N. Y. surrogate office (Register of Kings County).

He gives his wife 'Angeltie' as he spells her name, the use of six hundred pounds for life, if she remains a widow, two cows, firewood ready cut at her door,' the large room in his house and the little room next to it, all household goods, a negro girl and a negro woman, use of kitchen and his silver tankard. He devises to his son 'Symon' all his real estate in the 'township of Brookland' in 'Kings County, all his cattle except as reserved, and all his farm with all rights and privileges. His son is to pay his five daughters, 'Geertie, Teuntje, Jannetie, Angentie and Tryntie' one thousand pounds. Jannetie and Tryntie are to have four cows, for they seem to be unmarried at this time.2,3

     Simon married Catharine Schenck, daughter of Roelof Schenck and Ghesye Hendrickson, circa 1740, Simon and Catharine were first cousins one time removed.3,4 Simon Van Dyke De Hart left a will on 5 March 1747. It was recorded in Liber 16 of Wills page 99. [:HTML:]
He states his residence in 'Brookland', Kings County and that he is very sick. He leaves all his estate to his wife 'Coty' as he called her for the maintenance of her self and his children so long as she remains a widow. After her death or marriage all his estate is to be divided into three parts between his wife and his son Simon and his daughter Geesie except one silver tankard which he gives to his son Simon. After his son Simon is of age he is to have all the real estate and pay three hundred pounds to his wife and daughter.5
