The engagement of Miss Carol Elizabeth Tyndall to Lieutenant (j.g.) James T. McCarty- Navy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold McCarty of Mayda Rd., Rosedale, has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tyndall of Jefferson St., Merrick. The bride-elect, a graduate of Mepham Central High School, was graduated from New York State Teachers College at New Paltz, where she was a member of Theta Phi sorority. Miss Tyndall is teaching at the George Washington School, West Hempstead. Lieutenant McCarty was graduated from Jackson High School, where he was prominent as a swimmer. He attended Manhattan College before he joined the Navy. A naval pilot, he is stationed at Floyd Bennett-Field Navy Air Station.2

-...- Chester R. Tyndall, three-year- old son of Ray and Lillian Carrell Tyndall, died yesterday at the home of his parents, 2 Lincoln avenue. He is survived in addition to his parents, by his grandmother, Mrs. W, Tyndall. The Rev. Charles W. Roeder, pastor of Flatlands Reformed Church, will conduct funeral services at 2 P. M. tomorrow. Interment will be under direction of C. H. Moadlnger, 1120 Flatbush avenue.3

0n Wednesday, Nov. 27. Miss Edna Tyndail. only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Dyke Tyndall. of Roslyn, was married to Eugene D. Schenek, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Schenck by the Rev. J. Scott, of Valley Stream. The bride wore a handsome gown of ROi n of err embroidered silk batiste, trimmed with chantilily lace, and wore a reai lace veil, qn heirloom of the family, fastened with lillies of the valley. She carried a bouquet of roses and lillies of the valley. The bride was attended by Miss Bertha Schenck and Miss Ida Huffmire and Miss Cecilia Williams. George Smith, cousin of the groom, was best man. The ushers were Ernest Willets and Clarence Onderdonck. The wedding march was played by Miss Jennie Huffmire, of Brooklyn, a friend of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Schenek, when they return from their honeymoon, will take up their residence in Thomaston.2 '"


     Edna died on 30 September 1991, at Telford, Bucks, Pennsylvania, at age 105,3 and was buried at Kellers Church Union Cemetery, Perkasie, Bucks, Pennsylvania.4

Edna Schneck, 105, Telford resident

Edna Schenck, 105, formerly of Bedminster Township, Bucks County, died Monday in the Lutheran Home at Telford. She would have been 106 on Saturday. She was the wife of the late Eugene D. Schneck. Born on Long Island, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Van Dyke and Mary Jane (Raynor) Tyndall. She was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kellers Church. Survivors: Nieces. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the church. No calling hours. Arrangements, Bernard Suess Funeral Home, Perkasie.3
