Daisy Blanche Van Dyke, wife of Charles G. Jones
Daisy Blanche Van Dyke, daughter of John Van Dyke and Margaret Hazelwood, was born on 25 March 1865 at Cumberland, Illinois.

Daisy died on 26 September 1941, at Cumberland, Illinois, at age 76,1 and was buried at Toledo Memorial Park, Toledo, Cumberland, Illinois.2

A quasi biography/obituary of Daisy Blanche Van Dyke was posted on Find A Grave as follows:
Daisy was the 12 child out of 13 of John and Margaret Van Dyke of rural Toledo, Illinois.
Daisy not only obtained her teacher's certificate in 1890 but also was licensed by the State Supt. of Schools to serve at county institute as instructor. She taught in the Cumberland Co. rural schools of White Hall, Berry, Radley and for six years in Toledo. When she and her husband took over the family farm of her parents (John and Margaret Van Dyke) which had been in the family for almost 90 years, she helped carry on the family tradition of very successful farming. She was known as a well educated, shrewd business woman who knew a great deal about farming. Her son said that it was her influence that played a great part in keeping Charles on the farm and making it successful for he liked to travel and reminisce about his travels and vast experiences..

For years they raised purebred poultry, hogs, and registered jersey cattle, winning many blue ribbons on farm, cooking and animals at the Cumberland Co. Fair.2
