Miss Ruth E. Black, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Black, and Ralph L. Brown, son of Mrs. Minnie Brown, 62 Fifth street, were married at the home of the bride's parents, 300 Essex street, Wednesday night at S oclock, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Ashley A. Smith, D. D., in the presence of about 60 relatives anil friends. The bride had as maid of honor, Miss Hildreth Mathheson and the bridegroom's attendant was Rodney Brown, brother of the bridegroom. The bride wore a white satin gown and veil and carried a bouquet of rose and lilies of the valley. The bride's maid of honor wore a peach colored silk drees and carried a bouquet of Ophelia roses. After the wedding there was a reception and refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Brown will leave on a short wedding trip and on their return will make their home in Hampden.2
