     Katharine Becker was born on 17 February 1927 at Albuquerque, Bernalillo, New Mexico.2

     Katharine married Stanley Nathaniel Boquist Jr, son of Stanley Nathaniel Boquist and Alma Ela Cook, on 17 September 1949, at Milwaukie, Clackamas, Oregon.1

     Katharine died on 21 October 2013, at age 86.1

Census

     Katharine and Stanley appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, enumerated 14 April 1950. Stanley was an insurance salesman. Katharine was a receptionist at a bank..3

Obituary

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 25th at 11:00 AM at Valley Community Presbyterian Church for Katharine Becker Boquist who passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 17, 1927 to parents Paul and Elizabeth (Sims) Becker, moving at an early age to Oregon. Kay was a graduate of Grant High School and the University of Oregon where she earned a Batchlor's Degree and was a proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. On September 17, 1949, she married Stan Boquist. They had over 64 years of a great, fun 'lovin' and exciting marriage, with much traveling, golfing and family camping. Wonderful memories of their home at Black Butte as well as beach trips and winter breaks to Palm Desert or Hawaii. Kay was an accomplished seamstress, water color painter and Bridge player (Tuesday and Friday..a must) and over the years worked with a number of different crafts. She was very active in her early years with the Assistance League and the D.A.R. as well as other organizations. Her first love was her family including her husband Stan; daughters Judith Anderson of Seattle; Debra Jane of Hood River and son Steve of Milwaukie .Kay is also survived by grandchildren; Kimberly of Hood River and Brandon and Connor of Seattle. She will be missed by many. Remembrances may be made to Valley Community Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.4

Abraham C. Beekman, husband of Elizabeth H. Houghton
     Abraham Christopher Beekman, son of Christopher Beekman and Martha Veghte, was born on 29 September 1789.1

     Abraham married Elizabeth Houghton, daughter of Major Abner Houghton and Margaret Van Dyke.1

     Abraham died on 24 February 1871, at age 81,1 and was buried at Beekman Cemetery, Montgomery, Somerset, New Jersey.2
