Obituary

Garrett Rumph, a carpenter and a member of the Volunteer Fire Department of Flatbush, died Wednesday at his home, 310 East Thirty-seventh street. He was a son of the late Garrett and Chynta Denice Rumph. He is survived by his widow, two sons, Garrett and James, and two daughters, Ellen Rumph and Mrs. George. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. today and interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of Edward T. Kennedy, Church and Rogers avenues.5

     Garrett married Cynthia Denice, daughter of Henry Denice and Sarah "Surname Unknown", circa 1855.4

     Garrett C. Rumph left a will on 22 January 1878.2

     Garrett died on 6 February 1878, at Kings, New York.2 His estate was probated on 19 February 1878. It was finally proved 05 March 1878
